Zash Country Boutique Hotel & Spa has an absolutely stunning location surrounded by orange and lemon groves with breathtaking views of Mount Etna. The room I stayed in, a Superior Double Room, offered an amazing view, and it was stylishly refurbished. Breakfast offered a delightful selection of fresh pastries and perfectly ripe fruit. I enjoyed a relaxing spa treatment that left my skin feeling great. The staff were friendly, especially during breakfast and the spa. However, the bar service by the pool was slow during peak hours, which was frustrating. Communication with the front desk also had its issues. they weren't very clear when we sought information about local tours. Despite the Michelin-star restaurant, dinner options felt limited, and the service occasionally missed the mark. Overall, beautiful grounds but some inconsistencies in service and dining experience.

The beautiful setting amidst orange groves and the luxurious spa made for a memorable experience. Dining was a highlight. the degustation menu was exquisite, showcasing the talent of the kitchen with each dish. However, the isolation can be a drawback, especially with limited activities and slow bar service during peak hours. A car is essential for exploring the area, as venturing out is necessary for those looking for more than just relaxation.
